Nice enough app, wish they’d fix a major bug

I like the app a lot, but version 1.6.2 released on Dec 6 2014 has a bug that I really wish they’d fix. As with another reviewer, on launch all I get is a spinner. My saved offline articles aren’t available. There is a workaround. Here’s what I got from Justin in their support group. Unfortunately, the steps have to be repeated every time the app is launched:

Our developers are aware of this issue and are working on a solution. In the meantime, you can restore your downloaded items for offline use by following these quick steps:

1. In the menu bar, choose “View > Show Sidebar”
2. In the sidebar, click “Pocket” followed by “Archive”
3. Click the word “Archive” and select “Home”

This will restore your list of downloaded items.
