Premium search

If you subscribe to Pocket Premium, you are forced to use the full-text search feature that doesn’t work well enough. It’s unpredictable, very slow, yields irrelevant results and you lose the ability to search in titles and URLs, unless you unplug your internet connection to disable full-text searching. Since pocketed articles are downloaded to my computer anyway, I’d rather rely on OS X Spotlight indexer to index their contents. It would work offline and at no extra cost.

Also, you can’t view the list of starred articles when offline. You can still fish favorites out from a list of all items, but that’s really frustrating.

Article view mode is hit-and-miss, doesn’t always recognize article text, but it’s convenient when it works.

These issues aside, the app generally works well and is rather useful.
